Overview

Industrial manufacturing, mining and major construction projects often require companies to deal with a waste stream or contaminated material that finds its way into a specialized landfill. In these cases, there is much at stake for our clients because an environmental liability exists until that waste or contaminated material is physically destroyed or remediated.

EFI Group has developed and patented many methods of removing hazardous contaminants, including hydrocarbons, organics, PFEs and PCBs, as well as heavy metals such as arsenic, mercury, cadmium and zinc.

After safely separating the hazardous portion of a given material, we can then process the remaining portion to recover desirable components.

Our Heavy Metals Recovery projects have ranged from precious metals recovery, coal fly ash beneficiation and contaminated iron-bearing materials remediation to addressing contaminated soils, working with waste pickle liquor and gangue processing.
